What are Invisalign aligners?
Dr. Luke Riley is pleased to provide Invisalign — clear, removable aligners — for his dental patients at his Haslet, TX practice. Properly aligned, straight teeth aren't just beautiful; they're healthier and more comfortable. An improper bite and crooked teeth may lead to future dental problems that may be painful and expensive to fix. Customized to fit your teeth and your unique goals, Invisalign is more comfortable and attractive than traditional metal braces because they may be taken out to make cleaning your teeth and eating easier. If you're interested in having healthier teeth with the Invisalign system, make an appointment at Riley Dental to get more information from Dr. Riley.
"After two years of not having a cleaning I thought I would be in for a tough hour in the chair. However since this office is new they have brand new chairs which are really comfortable and the tools are very quiet. I had such a good experience I had a few fillings done as well. I am a large guy so I usually need a lot of numbing but Dr. Shattuck injected in just the right spot and I was very comfortable. I was much more comfortable while he was drilling because of how quiet the tools were. There wasn’t a high pitch grinding sound that normally accompanies drilling. I went in for another appointment to have impressions made for Invisalign. Dr. Shattuck is making a plan to get my teeth lined up better to prevent grinding. Another benefit is that I can whiten my teeth with the invisalign trays which will be great since I am getting married later this year. My dental insurance is notoriously difficult to deal with but the office staff was persistent and was able to get quite a bit of my work covered."- A.B. / Google / Mar 06, 2017

"The best dentist and dental office ever. I went in for a consult about a tooth that had been pulled by another dentist and after the doctors diving into my dental history about my TMJ and he offered treatment not a bandaid. I am so happy to be doing Invisalign to straighten my teeth and fix my cross bite causing the TMJ issues. I am now more pain free and lessened headaches. I followed all his instructions and recommendations and what was supposed to take 18-24 months is only been 12 months and soon will be over and into retainers and mouth guard. I am so happy i found Radiant Dental. Without him i would be hooked on muscles relaxers that really did not help and may have needed surgery to correct my TMJ. Yes thank you and the staff is amazing. They help me and offered suggestions and advise with any questions i had from Invisalign to billing questions and concerns. This is the best place ever and I know that my husband who recommended them to me and he hates dentists but loves this place! So if your looking for a great dental office then this is where you need to stop looking and come to Radiant Dental."- A.B. / Google / Jan 07, 2020
Who is a candidate for INVISALIGN ALIGNERS?
There are several factors that may determine the alignment of your teeth: sucking your thumb as a child, genetics, missing a tooth or teeth, and trauma to your face. Dental misalignment may cause more oral health concerns, such as a bad bite (dental malocclusion), uneven wear on the enamel, difficulty chewing and speaking, plus jaw pain and toothaches. If Dr. Riley sees one of these issues in your annual examination, he can suggest an orthodontic treatment like Invisalign.
The Invisalign system is wonderful for both teens and adults who would like straighter, healthier teeth minus the hassle, pain, and look of braces. Even though the aligners should be worn for the majority of the day, Invisalign trays may be removed for cleaning your teeth and eating, plus for special occasions and physical activities. Because Invisalign aligners are much less obvious than traditional metal orthodontics that poke and cut your cheeks, your friends and family will typically not know that you're using them.
What To Expect during INVISALIGN treatment
The initial Invisalign aligners will be made with impressions at Riley Dental. When they are ready, you will come back to receive your initial trays with instructions from Dr. Riley. You need to keep your aligners in for at least 20 hours every day for your treatment to work, ideally taking them out only for cleaning and eating. In time, you'll go to your next set of trays as they carefully shift your teeth closer to alignment. You should have follow-ups about every 4 – 6 weeks at Riley Dental to have your aligning trays assessed and to get new impressions done so your next trays can be ordered. How long you need to use Invisalign trays will differ depending on the initial condition of your teeth and your goals; however, many patients need to wear trays for around a year.
What happens After INVISALIGN treatment?
When your bite is aligned, it is crucial to stop your teeth from shifting into their original positions. Vivera retainers by Invisalign are made using the same materials to keep your teeth in their new position once your Invisalign treatment is done. Every retainer is made custom at the Invisalign dental lab based on impressions taken after your orthodontic treatment is done. Dr. Riley will discuss with you how many hours a day you should wear your retainer, plus how to clean it after it is sent from the laboratory. Dr. Riley will keep watching the alignment of your teeth and bite during your annual examinations to make sure your teeth stay in their new places.
Does Insurance cover INVISALIGN ALIGNERS?
Many of our patients find that part of their treatment cost is paid by insurance. Our office can determine your coverage and figure out your out-of-pocket fees. Riley Dental offers several methods of payment if you are not using insurance. In your consultation, we can discuss an estimate of costs and how our office can help to make your Invisalign treatment affordable for you with payment plans and medical financing via CareCredit.
